Microsoft's first cumulative update to Windows 11 24H2 (2024 Update) is wreaking havoc among many users. The update was supposed to bring fixes that plugged a few high-severity vulnerabilities, but it cannot install on several users' systems. You can find this in Settings &gt; System &gt; Troubleshoot &gt; Other troubleshooters.</li><li>Reset Windows Update Services: Sometimes, the easiest way to troubleshoot is just to restart some Windows update services. Here, you will be required to use the Command Prompt to stop the update services and start them.</li><li>System Files Repair: Sometimes, corrupted system files can hinder system installation. System file corruption may interfere with installation and can be helped in repair by running the SFC and DISM tools.</li></ol>Post-Installation IssuesNot even those who successfully installed the update feel safe at this point. New bugs that appeared immediately after updating have been noticed: The OpenSSH server doesn't work and performance is slowed down. This could lead to crashes and malfunctioning and would just add another layer of frustration to your life.What to Do?If you haven't installed the update yet, you should save all critical data. Failure to install the update can be supported either by manually installing the update or using troubleshooting tools. However, if the problems persist or post-installation issues begin to surface, it may be best to uninstall the update and wait for Microsoft to release a fix.Usually, Microsoft corrects these types of issues with subsequent patches so that the problem may soon be available in a more stable version.
